Trace Bothell West Street Directory

A useful Bothell West street directory begins with the exact address, then tests what several public records say about that place. Search Bothell West streets by address to identify the tax parcel and recorded owner, inspect nearby lots, and connect deeds or permit files to the same land. Residency takes more care. An owner, taxpayer, mail recipient, or registered voter may not be every person who lives there. Bothell West is also an unincorporated Census place beside the separate City of Bothell, so county, postal, and city labels can point in different directions. Keep each source and date with every name you record.

Walk a Bothell West Street

Start the Bothell West street directory with one confirmed house number. The Snohomish County Assessor Property Information search turns that address into a parcel number. SCOPI places the parcel on the county map. The Auditor index connects it to recorded documents, while county planning files add permits and land-use records. Voter and library sources may add evidence about people, but neither should be inferred from an ownership row.

  1. Enter the property street address in Assessor Property Information. Use the full name first, then fewer characters or a wildcard if needed.
  2. Copy the 14-digit real-property parcel number, situs address, owner or taxpayer label, and legal description as separate facts.
  3. Open SCOPI, select the same parcel, and inspect the Results panel before moving to the next house number.
  4. Search the Auditor with the parcel's first 10 digits. Review deeds, liens, plats, surveys, and releases in date order.
  5. Check PDS by address or parcel for site records, then use official voter or historical sources only for the question they answer.

This order keeps a whole-street search tied to stable land identifiers. It also prevents a postal label or map symbol from being treated as proof of occupancy.

Bothell West Address Search Fields

The assessor's search is the strongest first pass for a current Bothell West address. It has one main box, but the input format changes the scope. The public instructions do not confirm a separate owner-name control, so a street directory search should not assume one exists.

The Snohomish County Assessor can be reached at 425-388-3433 or contact.assessor@snoco.org, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. No login or fee is stated for the visible property-search instructions.

The parcel and street choices show why the first result is a property record, not a full list of people at the address.

Bothell West Records by Street

Each source in a Bothell West street directory answers a different address question. Cross-check the property address and parcel before joining rows from separate systems.

Address sourceWhat it contributesCoverage or access
AssessorParcel, property address, owner-related fieldsFree web search
SCOPIOwner, taxpayer, acreage, value, map contextFree viewer; parcel type matters
AuditorDeeds, liens, plats, surveys, legal descriptionsMost since July 1976 online
PDSPermits, land use, grading, plats, site historyUnincorporated county; digitization gaps

Ownership, mailing, voting, and occupancy are not synonyms. A reliable by-street file keeps those categories apart, even when the same name appears twice.

Map Bothell West Street Parcels

SCOPI, Snohomish County Online Property Information, supports Parcel ID Search, Address Search, Select Parcels, and a Neighborhood Search Tool. Address Search uses Street Address with optional City. A result can show Parcel ID, Property Address, Owner, Taxpayer, gross acres, market value, and tax code area. Property Account Summary adds sales history, tax history, legal description, and structure details.

Turn on parcel and house-number layers at a useful scale. Open each result rather than trusting the map label. “Multiple Parcels” requires a list check. “Shared Interest Parcels” may describe an associated interest, and “Not a Legal Tax Parcel” is not a normal ownership row. Preserve these labels instead of forcing every map shape into a household.

Open the official SCOPI viewer to inspect its live layers.

The viewer supplies location context, but the result panel supplies the identifiers needed to verify a parcel.

Note: GIS staff can be reached at 425-388-3358 when a parcel label or result needs an official explanation.

Bothell West Street Terms

Four terms prevent common address errors. Define them before recording names from a Bothell West street search.

Parcel
A tax and geographic unit of land, identified by a county number.
Situs address
The physical location of the parcel. It may differ from the mailing address.
Plat
A recorded subdivision map that identifies lots, blocks, roads, and boundaries.
Criss-cross directory
An address-first historical directory used to work from a street toward a listed household.

The legal description often outlasts a street abbreviation, ZIP change, or mailing-city shift. Use it as the bridge when today's address no longer matches an old record.

Bothell West Permits by Address

Bothell West is a CDP, so unincorporated property files often belong with Snohomish County Planning and Development Services. The PDS Public Records portal begins with an “I Agree” screen. Searches accept Tax Parcel, Permit, or Address, with fields for related parcels, city, ZIP, property address, folder name, description, and permit type. Results can be filtered, sorted, viewed, downloaded, or shared.

Files may document permits, plats, boundary changes, drainage, grading, land use, driveways, occupancy, fire inspections, and code complaints. They can explain changes to a parcel but do not prove who lived there. The Project Status search handles current and historical permits. Code Enforcement shows active cases only.

Not all files are digital. The PDS Records Room answers at 425-388-3622 and informationrequest.pds@co.snohomish.wa.us. Its listed counter hours vary by weekday. Older material may require the room, a mail request, or a focused PRA request.

Deeds Along Bothell West Streets

The Snohomish County recorded-document search accepts name, document type, recording number, date, parcel ID, book and page, or legal description. Use the parcel's first 10 digits. Choose Legal for plats, surveys, and condominium records. Results can identify parties, document type, number, date, parcel or legal-description link, and an unofficial preview.

Most recorded documents since July 1976 are online. A free account has been required since March 2, 2026. Earlier records are a public-terminal or microfilm task. Copies cost $1 per page; map copies start at $5 for the first page and $3 for each added page. Substantial or pre-1976 research is listed at $8 per hour with a one-hour minimum. Confirm current costs before ordering.

Review the Auditor's current search instructions before starting.

Bothell West Address Boundaries

A Bothell mailing label does not settle jurisdiction. Bothell West lies in Snohomish County, while incorporated Bothell spans Snohomish and King counties. The City annexed 5.3 square miles of Canyon Park in 1992, yet the official plan places land north of Maltby Road or SR 524 in unincorporated Snohomish County. Confirm the parcel before choosing a custodian.

USPS bulletins record deliveries moving from 98036 to 98021 in 2006 and from 98296 to 98012 in 2008. Use USPS ZIP Code Lookup to validate mail format, then return to the legal description. ZIP confirms delivery geography, not ownership or residence.

Older Bothell West Street Clues

The Washington State Library confirms a Seattle Suburban South directory run for 1974 through 1983 and 1985. KCLS microfilm reaches Bothell newspapers from 1908. A criss-cross volume can lead from house number to a printed household, while a newspaper may supply an event date. The collection details belong on the Bothell West city directory page.

No official Bothell West street-renumbering project was found. If an old address disappears, compare parcel, plat, legal description, ZIP, and publication date. The February 1912 Sanborn sheets cover historic incorporated Bothell, not the later CDP footprint.

Millions of Snohomish Land Records

The Washington Digital Archives land-title collection displays 6,019,654 Snohomish records. It helps when an older street trail moves beyond the county portal's web coverage. Fields include party name, party type, keywords, addition name, year range, and Soundex for spelling variants.

The count explains why a narrow search matters. Pair a name with the addition, date, legal description, or known parcel chain. A same-name result elsewhere in the county is not proof for a Bothell West address.

Bothell West Street Directory Limits

A public street directory can show parcels, owners, taxpayers, filings, some registration data, and dated directory entries. It cannot name every current occupant. A trust, business, absentee owner, or service address may appear where no listed person lives. Protected voters and Address Confidentiality Program participants may have a substitute address or no open physical-address row.

Lawful personal use. Use Bothell West address records for property, family-history, and civic research. Never use them to stalk, harass, track, intimidate, or harm anyone.

When a portal fails, use the full access chain: Auditor terminals and microfilm, the PDS Records Room, library microfilm, State Library, archives, phone or email help, mailed copy requests, and a focused county PRA request for an identifiable record. Record which channel supplied each fact.
